The malted barley used to make Talisker whisky is peated at a medium level.

Tasting Notes
"Both fruity, with notes of passion fruit and lemon, as well as peaty. This Talisker is an extremely mature whisky, with lovely coastal influences. Think salty seaweed and iodine. The palate is quite waxy, and very peppery, which is trademark Talisker. A tad more aggressive than the nose suggests, with a more dominant peat influence, but also subtle notes of marzipan and cappuccino. Superb!"
