Talisker Port Ruighe

I actually really enjoyed this dram. The smoke and spice are nicely balanced and I found it a smooth finish, just not lingering on the palate

Strong peat nose. Some bitter flavor, but overall smooth and peaty. Smoky finish.

Very balanced whisky. There are some deep and dried fruit notes from the port casks: plum and raisin with brown sugar. The peat provided the perfect amount of smokiness and salt. The finish is long with a bit of oak, cracked pepper, and hint of chocolate.
