Tambourine Mountain’s Sugar Cane spirit comes to us out of one of Australia’s smallest pot-still distilleries, nestled in the Gold Coast Hinterlands. With almost 20 years of experience behind them, Michael and Alla Ward have worked long and hard to bring a large line of spirits and liqueurs that have won awards in Chicago, London and Belgium.
The Sugar Cane Spirit is a Cachaça-style spirit, a famed Brazilian spirit drunk either by itself or in cocktails, and is made with copper pot-distillation from local Tambourine Mountain Sugar Cane. Note: Available for purchase at the distillery in 500ml sized bottles.

Tasting Notes
"The nose on the spirit is very sweet, with a honey backing that has a dusting of aniseed and grass. The honey flavors thicken quickly, especially in heat, and the drink reflects this, turning to an almost sugar syrup consistency. On the palate, the sweet honey dries out, and cools the mouth with a peppery back. The greenery and herbs comes out of the small wood work, treading softly over small flowers to level out over mossy wood. The finish is long, cooling and peppery, with a prickly, almost citric end over fresh-crushed berries."
