Tangle Ridge a blended Canadian whisky made with 100% rye whisky that has been aged for 10 years in used American barrels. It is then taken out of those barrels and has a small amount of sherry added. It is aged further before bottling to marry those flavors together.
CanadianDISTILLED IN CANADA AND AGED IN BARRELS FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS; OFTEN (BUT NOT ALWAYS) CANADIAN WHISKIES ARE BLENDS OF CORN, BARLEY, AND RYE WHISKIES WHICH WERE DISTILLED AND MATURED SEPARATELY. TRADITIONALLY, CANADIAN WHISKEY IS CALLED “RYE”, ALTHOUGH NO MINIMUM PERCENTAGE OF RYE-GRAIN WHISKY IS REQUIRED IN A BLEND.

"Sweet maple covered pecans and dark rye bread come to the forefront upon nosing. As you taste, the sweetness overtakes you at first, but the whisky catches up to make it less unctuous and rummy. The alcohol seems to be a bit out of balance in the glass. Overall, however, the whisky would be fine with a large chunk of ice in your glass."
