Tepozán Blanco Tequila
Tequila Blanco
Tepozán // Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Tepozán Blanco Tequila is a farm-to-glass tequila made with organically grown agaves harvested from the estate where the distillery is located in San Julián, Jalisco. Founder Carlos Padilla, a farmer turned tequilero, produces the tequila using 100% Weber blue agave. The agaves are cooked for two days in traditional brick ovens, milled, and fermented in open-air stainless steel tanks using wild, ambient yeast.
After double distillation, the blanco is bottled without additives. The brand takes its name from the tepozán tree, known as a haven for butterflies across central Mexico. (SRP $45).
