According to The Balvenie, "This chapter is as much an explanation of the arcane decision-making processes of maturation and stock management as it is a personal memoir of David's life in whisky." Cask #11621 was filled on December 6, 1993 in a refill American oak hogshead. It was bottled on June 19, 2017 at 51.
