Balvenie The Sweet Toast of American Oak 12 Year

Funny enough this variation drinks more like a peated bourbon. It’s an excellent entry for someone who wants to venture into the scotch whisk(e)y world! You get those classic notes of sweet oak, vanilla, and caramel! But you also get strong notes of prunes and milke chocolate covered raisins. The finish is totally scotch…There is a sea salt and seaweed presence that’s hard to dismiss.

Exactly what you’d think. Nice, sweet scotch with an okay twist. Would drink again, would buy again if options were limited. Paired with Plasencia Alma Fuerte cigar and Diet Coke.
