The Gauldrons is one of Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts, and represents the Campbeltown region. The name literally means "Bay of Storms", after the dark, stormy coves on Campbeltown's west shores. The Gauldron is a small batch marriage of Campbeltown whiskies, bottled at 46.2% ABV.

Tasting Notes

"Sweet aromas float from the glass, as cookie dough, sweet barley and vanilla custard dominate. There's a hint of pickled lemon, and just a whisper of smoke. The palate is oily and fruity (lemons, peaches), accompanied by sweet marzipan and a touch of brine. It lingers on slivers of peat and fruity pears."
