The Last Drop, a rare spirit specialist, announced this release in spring 2019. Two single cask single malt whiskies from Glenrothes were bottled on the same day, October 27, 1969 and released as a duo for The Last Drop's 15th release. Each matured for 50 years in ex-bourbon barrels.
Cask #16207 yielded just 141 bottles and was bottled at 46.8% ABV while cask #16203 yielded just 130 bottles and was bottled at 45.7% ABV.
