The Fine Oak 15 is easily one of the richest Macallans i can remember. The flavors are incredibly bold and deep. The palate is dominated by dried fruits, but with a strong chocolate finish. Yet another top tier dram from the titans of Speyside.
It’s a shame the Fine Oak range was discontinued. The Triple Casks (the spiritual successors) are close, but don’t quite match. Not that they’re any worse…just different.

Incredibly pleasant to drink. Lightly Oaky, light sherry character, light bitterness in the finish. The first Scotch highball I've had that was worth drinking. Either the club soda choice (Top Note) made the difference, or Monkey Shoulder and St. George's Baller were not suited for higballs.
Light and floral. Slight hibiscus & rosewater flavor. Vanilla, honey, orange and some burnt wood with a slight coating of oil. Salted maple syrup on the midpalate finishing with some lingering yet subtle oak barrel char. Easy sipper and smooth like butter. Tasty.
