The Sexton Single Malt

Sharp first sip. A strong sherry beginning but ends with spice and dried fruit. My second glass was much more pleasant. Grows on you.

Tastes like a Chocolate covered dark fruit like a cherry or strawberry. Enjoyable, but also forgettable in the same breath. When going back for a second glass I found that it was just more alcohol flavoring.

Amber color out of the bottle with a strong, volatile fruity aroma. Flavor is reminiscent of unripe banana or other similar fruit, wine, and a hint of vanilla. Can definitely tell this was aged in ex-sherry casks. Very smooth on the tip and mid tongue but with a somewhat harsh burn at the back.

This is a great whiskey. Light and floral. Not too complex but you don’t see me complaining.
