Thomas S. Moore Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finished Bourbon

Nose: Cherry, oak and musty note, Palate: Dark fruit sweetness, filled by cinnamon spice and brown sugar. Sweet and spicy finish. Overall: I love this whiskey. Cabernet is not as prevalent as one might expect, but one of my favorites.

Cherry and oak heavy on the nose. Oak up front but moves into a medicinal, floral, cherry favor and stays with cherry and oak through the finish. Thick mouthfeel. Good all around but a lot of cherry.

Almost one dimensional. Musty finish.

A fine pour. But didn’t get a ton of the Cabernet influence I expected. Slightly fruity but not very complex.

Leathery and spicy. Solid choice for sipping.

Not for me.
