Togouchi 9 Year

Nose: vanilla sweetness, some warming spices.peach. Palate: brown sugar, sweet, spice, bit rough, pungent during swallow. Finish: medium, nutty. Little tartness.

Smoky - caramel - fruity

Light and fruit

This has the nose of a subtle speyside, sweet with a bit of spice. A bit of ethanol on the body, but otherwise pretty smooth. Having a hard time picking out many notes in this one. Pleasant and inoffensive, but not very memorable.

Not my favorite type of whiskey so take that fwiw. Smokey backdrop but not overpowering. I can’t stand Smokey profiles but being blended the sweeter citrus notes and cinnamon spice play fine. Not a top choice or one I’d seek out but drinkable
