Treaty Oak Starlite Vodka
Treaty Oak // Texas, USA
Treaty Oak likes to name their products after historic events and places in Texas. This vodka is named after the famous Starlite Theatre that was in Brenham, Texas. Treaty Oak uses corn and winter wheat to make the mash for their vodka. This is then distilled seven times and put through a proprietary filtration process.
Unflavored VodkaDistilled from any agricultural product, most commonly grains or potatoes. Typically distilled to 95% ABV. Water is added to bring the spirit down to as low as 37.5% ABV in the EU and 40% ABV in the US. It is usually filtered, often with charcoal, prior to bottling. It is almost always clear and unaged.
"The aroma hints at a neutral vodka as it is quite muted, only the burn of alcohol to be found. The palate is both soft in texture and flavor. Though it is dominated by a taste of sour milk that doesn’t exactly wet the appetite. The milky taste dissipates by the finish but the sourness remains. Numb this out with some ice."
