Tres Agaves was founded in 2008 by restaurateur and tequila aficionado, Eric Rubin, and the former president of Cabo Wabo Enterprises, Barry Angus. Interested in creating a premium tequila brand, they released their first products in 2010. Their reposado style tequila is made with blue weber agave grown in the Tequila Valley region of Jalisco. After double distillation in a pot still, the tequila ages for 6-9 months in American oak barrels previously used to mature bourbon and other types of American whiskey. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
