Founded in 2004 by the husband and wife team of Melkon Khosrovian and Litty Mathew, Greenbar Distillery produces the world's largest range of organic spirits. In addition to using organic crops for its spirits, the distillery also follows environmental friendly practices in presenting its products, such as using bottles made from 100% recycled glass and biodegradable packing materials. Additionally, the distillery also plants a tree for every bottle it sells. These standards continue in the production and sale of Greenbar's Tru Organic Gin. Beginning with a base spirit made from organic wheat, 14 botanicals - juniper berries, fresh lavender, fresh lemon zest, angelica root, orris root, coriander seeds, cardamom, vanilla beans, cloves, fennel, cinnamon, allspice, chamomile and star anise - are then added. Following distillation, the gin is aged 2 months in earthware containers before being bottled at 42% ABV.
Distilled GinThis style of gin takes a neutral spirit and then adds juniper berries and other natural flavorings before it is re-distilled. After distillation, additional flavors (artificial or natural) and sweeteners may be added.
