In 2009, Bob and Alan of the Yukon Brewing Company bought a still and applied their expertise in brewing to whisky making. Their whiskies are made with a variety of malted roasted grains, different fermentation techniques, and a mix of barrels. This limited release of 1750 bottles is a peated single malt comprised of 80% Canadian malt and 20% UK peated malt. It was aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels with a wedge of new oak. Available only in Canada.

TRADITIONALLY, CANADIAN WHISKEY IS CALLED “RYE”, ALTHOUGH NO MINIMUM PERCENTAGE OF RYE-GRAIN WHISKY IS REQUIRED IN A BLEND.

"Ripe banana and a healthy dose of peat appear on the nose with the smoke settling into a crispiness that is packed with orchard fruits seasoned with grassy grains. A slight vegetal note adds further character and complexity. The whisky hits the mouth with a crunchy nuttiness, clove and mild oak tannins that tug at the peated malt. The grassiness puts on the breaks in the finish replaced by citrus slamming down the gas and smoking the tires."
