The brand is named for 15th century French poet François Villon, whom they say they share a renegade streak with, and is technically bottled as a liqueur.

Tasting Notes
"The nose is saccharine, with butterscotch, salted caramel, and grape jam. The palate is viscous, with nuttiness in the form of peanut brittle and cashews, baking spices, and strawberry reserves, with the base Cognac coming through softly. A short, sweet finish offers vanilla pudding, toffee, and wood tannins."
