Reviewed September 2, 2020 (edited December 9, 2020)Just opened this one up. Very light nose. The palate is very delicate and definitely doesn’t drink like a 107 proof. Sweet with the WT profile. Finish is nice. Great, easy drinking bourbon. -

Reviewed August 29, 2020 (edited November 3, 2020)Nose- Bit me a little here. More hot then I would have thought from 107 proof point. Rich honey is most pervasive. Body- Smooth and easy to drink. The heat in the nose is not present here. This is an earthy rich body with notes of honey, maple syrup, leather, walnut, and french toast (in that order for me). Finish- Fairly long finish with leather and honey. This one really sticks with you and coats the tongue. This is a very nice addition to the Barons of Bourbon collection. It has a rich depth and lingering finish that sets it apart. -

Reviewed August 18, 2020 (edited January 5, 2022)Nose: Caramel frosted sugar cookie. Palate: Rich and thick. Dark caramel and oak on the front end. Almost get a little banana like a Brown Forman product. Absolutely delicious. Transitions mid palate to some rye spice and lingers with a good moderate finish. This is one of the better pours I have had this month. Wish this was easier to find. -

Reviewed August 17, 2020 (edited August 11, 2021)I think I am in love. Is it the most nuanced or complex bourbon of course not, however it's the best of a core WT profile. It really reminds me of the turkey of the late 90s early 2000s so maybe for me it's that emotional connection, being teleported back to sitting on a hay bale in the fall woods around a campfire after going out to haunted houses. Some of the best times of my life. Thank you Eddie for blending this for me. -

Reviewed August 14, 2020 (edited November 17, 2023)I have no idea how I haven't reviewed this but wow. nose - It's putty, vanilla, oak, and a touch of artificial sweeter. Sounds bad but honestly it's very inviting and it's bringing me back. taste - up front there's turkey funk, a lotta oak, and a nice sweet and balancing profile. But who cares about the flavor because the finishing is outstanding. It's filled with transitions from sweet to oak and then to funk. There's screwed vanilla tootsie rolls meeting oak and it's moving and shaping up the profile. As I dig in caramel surpasses vanilla as the primary sweetness. A super sweet bourbon balanced by oak and turkey funk nearly perfectly. This is one that rivals their recent 17 year release. I absolutely can't recommend this more to turkey fans and turkey interested people. Anyway i paid 40 for a 375 with a retail of 50 and I've done the 50 once too. If you like wild turkey 101 this is the best of their best in terms of still being near the profile. 3.50, one of the best bourbons I have had and it comes with all kinds of funky off notes to make people happy exploring bourbon. -

Reviewed August 14, 2020 (edited November 14, 2020)Wow. Great WT expression. Better than any Russell Single barrel I've ever had and probably one of the best Turkey products of the last couple years. No bitterness at all not much heat just sweet and balanced. Not drying at all, and the finish is where this shines. If this were a 750ml Wild Turkey special release people would pay 150 for it and never complain but because its 50 bucks in a 375 people act as if this is some kind of rip off. Please keep thinking that because I want as many bottles of this as humanly freaking possible.
