Weller Full Proof Bourbon

This is an almost perfect example of the ideal bourbon distilled down to its roots. Oak, caramel, rich, spice, the kind of whiskey that makes me just sigh and go quiet for a while. Lovely.

Liking the maple syrup, oak, wheated notes that I get from this. Something about it is just not jiving with me. Perhaps it is the proof. It taste proofier than it is. Other than that, I like the flavors that are there

Tastes good, but the finish is where it shines. Very sweet and nuanced on the dry down.

1 oz. pour. Amped up Weller. Spicy, wheaty, and red hot cinnamon candies. A true treat.

Tried at a bar. NEAT NOSE - Raspberries, Grape, Strawberries, Honey, and Caramel PALATE - The grape and raspberry are the first to hit your palate and it transitions to the strawberry and into a finish of honey and caramel. Beautifully complex, rich, smooth, and sweet. FINISH - Sweet honey and caramel. Long BUY? - Absolutely! Especially at SRP but despite how great this is, I’d struggle to pay today’s secondary rates for this.
