Tasting Notes
"On the initial taste, Westland's Celebrious comes across as a flavorful but straightforward American single malt: vanilla, a bit of smoke, leather, and pleasant balance of heat and sweetness. The finish, however, comes across as familiar but unexpected, until one realizes that the whiskey ended its ageing in an ex-tequila cask. That influence makes itself known on the finish, where notes of the agave spirit linger. This ageing process is an unusual experiment that pays off in a very enjoyable whiskey."
