This seventh edition continues to put a spotlight on Quercus garryana, a type of oak indigenous to the area. But Westland also used Washington State syrah and cabernet sauvignon red wine casks for its finishing. A small portion of first-fill ex-bourbon casks were also used.
As for the barley used for the American single malt, the grain types are as follows: Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, Brown Malt, Baird's Heavily Peated Malt. Only 6,900 bottles were produced and availability is expected in February 2023. (SRP $149.99).

Tasting Notes
"On the nose, find tart lingonberries along with vanilla cream pudding, ginger, lemon peel, and spearmint. The palate is spicy and bold, with blackberry jam, burnt caramel, barrel char, Baker's chocolate, and leather. The finish is resinous with pinewood and sap, and notes of cherry cola, black pepper, malted milk balls, and sarsaparilla. "
