RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"Imagine a Manhattan without the sweetness, and that approximates the flavor profile of this unique rye from The Splinter Group. It's a high-rye whiskey with great spice, but the finishing in wine barrels lends rich, grapey notes with vanilla, cherry, prune, and marzipan. Sipping it recalls walking into a wine cellar. It may not be for everyone, but it's enjoyable and boldly different from other ryes on the market, and for that it's a very welcome addition."
