Wild Turkey Rye 101

101 is my go to bourbon. This rye is a good twist on a good bourbon. I like it on ice. Taste the herbal flavors. Nice catch if you find it.

Pretty amazing aroma: medicinal herbs, mint, lime, lots to nose out. Palate carries over the herbal notes but makes them drier, rosemary or sagebrush, and adds honey, leather, vanilla, wood. Conjures up a saloon in the old west. Medium finish lets sagebrush and rye spice hang around. Not a heavy rye but quite good. Good comps would be Wheel Horse 101 and Elijah C 94.

Mello carmel, not very spicy Really good rye worh old fashioned. Worth the price as a mixer and straight too

Wonderful value rye. Great for cocktails and neat.
