Wilderness Trail Bottled in Bond Single Barrel Bourbon (Wheated Bourbon)

Nose begins with cinnamon, then transitions to heavy banana notes, before ending notes of brown sugar, Palate is simple, with wheat notes dominating. Finish is quite long and smooth with simple wheat notes carrying through. While not complex, this is an enjoyable pour.

Caramel, cereal, light pepper, light fruit, slightly sweet. Well rounded, but a little raw and may need more time in the barrel. I paid around $60 for it; good for the price, but it would be a much better deal at about $10-15 less, especially when I can still find McKenna 10 for less than $50.

Mild, well rounded, not too sweet, sip or nice in cocktails

Sweet on the front end with flavors of molasses but a little strong in the back of the throat.

Wheat and honey smell. Slight pepper taste with charcoal and oak.

Got the last bit of a bottle at a 4th of July party. Nose - basic notes. Caramel, sweet notes and kind of bland. Taste - starts sweet and light. Start to get some heavy caramel and cherries then heavy pepper at the end and finish. Overall - I have had some great bottle in bond bourbons but this one let me down a bit. Nothing wrong with it just didn’t fit my palate profile.
