Willett Family Estate Small Batch Rye 4 Year

So good. Surprisingly sweet for a rye without much rye spice. Very impressive depth of flavor for a 4 year. Soft and delicious, especially for a barrel proof. Definitely one of my favorites.

So disappointing! Tasted like plastic and iodine, sort of medicinal. Followed by the alcoholic burn. Smells bad. I dislike this. Undrinkable. I’m sorry I bought the bottle on the strength of these reviews.

Nose: Green apple. Dill. Sweet tea. Honey. Pepper. Taste: Dill— like on a dill pickle potato chip. Black Pepper. Tajin-the Mexican seasoning- salt, chili pepper, lime. Carmel. Raisin. One of the best whiskies I have ever had. And I have had a lot. A must try.
