Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon

Opened this bottle when family was in town and I need to sit down and do a proper tasting. I’ve only had this and the 4yr rye, my feeling is Willett has a unique flavor profile that may be suited to the old crowd (as my 70yr father said this was the best he has ever tasted and he knows what he likes). For me the nose was pleasant, smooth and flavorful but the flavor profile was a little more earthy than I would like. Will I get another bottle, yes, 1/3 because my dad likes it, 1/3 because of the bottle and 1/3 because I think you need to find some time with it.

A good nose, and classic bourbon flavor. Reminds me of Jameson Black Barrel. Nothing particularly remarkable apart from the bottle. Still, it’s good. I paid too much, but jumped on it after running across a lone bottle in a store If never been to before.
