Wolves The Rye Project Volume One Batch One
The Rye Project Volume One is a collaboration between California-based Wolves Whiskey and Kentucky's Willett Distillery. This blend of straight rye whiskeys begins with a low-rye content (51%) rye whiskey distilled in Indiana, aged 6 years in new American oak barrels.
Then it's blended in Sonoma, California with 6 & 7 year-old high rye (74%) rye whiskey from Willett where it ages further. Bottled at 103 proof, Volume One Batch One is available November/December 2021.

RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.
