It’s amazing how much the dark malt comes through in this, I really didn’t expect it to be so prominent of a stout flavor from the dark malts. It’s like a chocolate bourbon. Nothing bad about it, but I probably wouldn’t order it again.
Tasted from a sample from a friend.
N: Dark coffee mixed with yesterday's Guiness beer. A sense of watered-down hot chocolate.
P: Chocolate malt balls, barley influence, dark chocolate. Some bitterness.
F: Burnt dark chocolate, almost like burnt dark chocolate bark or the residue of crispy brownies (the part that stick to the pan). Some lingering sweetness.
Interesting... Need another glass to understand a bit better.
