Woodford Reserve Straight Rye

Vanilla wafers, mint, apricot, persimmon, and Vix cherry cough syrup on the nose. Malty and spicy on the palate with loads of sweet caramel-coated cookies before a surprisingly fiery Red Hot cinnamon and alcohol finish. A bit of an alcohol and oak bite, definitely more pronounced than the ABV would suggest. The finish is bitey and long with some pleasant fennel, caraway, and spearmint notes.

Sweet, smoky, buttery. Man, this is a delicious Bourbon. The spiciness of the rye comes in with the finish.

Some citrus and a touch of apricots. Somewhat spicy with a whiff of vanilla. Warms you with a slight sweet aftertaste. I'm not a true drinker but this will make me one.
