Strong vanilla and a hint of butterscotch on the nose. Finishes quickly in your mouth to a peppery bite with a bit more alcohol flavor on the back end than I would prefer. For the price it is a good sipping rum.

On the nose, burnt molasses (or sugar), allspice, black licorice and alcohol. On the tongue, burnt molasses, raisin, black licorice and allspice with a mild alcohol burn. The taste won’t be everyone’s favorite and takes some getting used to. A quality sipping rum. Not one of my favorites but a solid choice.

Jonny one note sweet vanilla.

Nice vanilla scent with a floral & allspice hint. Smooth and slightly oily with a sort of thickness to it. Tastes of vanilla and spice. Dried plum and something else...dark raisin?...near the finish and lingering in taste, reminding me of exotic tropical fruit. Floral and allspice after-taste. Good coloration, similar to A&W Root Beer but with more brown. My wife -- who is from Trinidad -- really likes this with Pepsi. It does go well as a mixer. This is a good sipper! Rating is based on neat sipping.
