Zaya Gran Reserva 16

Bought based on reviews on the old formula of Zaya 12. Didn't realize it changed to 16 solera. Overly sweet, tastes like demerara syrup, so much better as a Rum Old Fashioned rather than neat. Can cut the demerara when using in a Mai Tai, otherwise far too sweet. Disappointed overall.

Smoky but smooth

Lots of vanilla and baked fruit (or is it char?). Easy and enjoyable to sip as a desert spirit, although not full bodied or complex like El Dorado 15 or the premium Barbados rums.

Ok, might buy again don't want to judge off one bottle, might of just been my mood cause of the Covid. But to sweet for me.
