Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Nose: lots of oak and smoke. Also very buttery nose. Heavy dark fruit as well. Noting that the color is soooo dark.
Palate: whoa...this is incredible. The first half-second you get all wood with no fruit at all. Then it immediately bursts with sweetness out of no where. So much dark fruit on the back palate. I’ve also never had a bourbon that changes this much halfway through the palate.
Finish: the wood is back but it blends nicely with the cherries at the same time. The wood/oak lingers forever.
Overall: $150 is steep. But jeez is this bourbon good. For a once a year, limited release I thoroughly enjoy this bottle. This is my first Parker’s Heritage but holy cow man I’m glad I got lucky. Also, adding that at 120 proof, this bottle drinks way way below that.
