Nose has aromas of pepper, wintergreen, caramel, vanilla, nuts, brown sugar, graham cracker, apple and spice.
Taste begins with vanilla and pepper. Transitions to a lightly salted caramel with the pepper notes persisting. Ends with a bit of baking spices in addition to the pepper. Short moderate finish
Compared side by side to black label, the nose intensity is orders of magnitude greater on this with more distinctive pepper and a balancing sweet. The taste is definitely longer lasting and with some more nuance as well.
Compared to 1783, nose is definitely more peppery than 1783. 1783 has a sweeter smoother nose with a hint of charcoal, more orchard fruits pear and apple and banana. More chocolate in sib
