Nose: Vanilla, maybe some oak, thin ethanol, caramel
Taste: Very simple and light. A slight burn. Low bite. A slight vanilla, very sweet and warm, nothing special but it is not harsh at least.
Finish: Very short, maybe some oak followed by a strange bitter taste. I account that to the age of the whiskey (it is young).
Summary: It is a good mixer (very good with coke) and okay for sipping neat. Still I can't really recommend it because it is overpriced. For nearly the same price you can get a ie. Jim Beam Black which is just a whole different category, much much better than the Jack Old No7. This should retail for the same price as the Jim Beam White. I'd still prefer the JB White because at least that has some complexity (if not much) and has a punch to it. This? Not so much. Not one of my favorite's
