Appearance: Light amber, weak legs that look watery
Nose: Rye-forward, with some generic sweetness, and a tiny bit of smoke. I'm not great at this, but I can't get much fruit. It could be there, just subtle. Still a good nose
Palate: Sweet and spicy right away, and the smoke from the nose comes in here as a bit of char mixed with pepper.
Finish: Longer spicy finish that I would have guessed for a watery looking dram. It's one dimensional, but pleasantly surprising for what I expected.
Overall it's pretty good. If you like high rye bourbons with a bit of sweetness, this is simple, approachable and inoffensive. I personally won't buy a bottle, but I'm glad I tried it
