On first approach this whiskey is equally sweet and smokey. There are notes of buttery biscuits reminding me of an Irish whiskey, well as pear, peach and peat: 3 powerful P’s. The palate has a watery mouthfeel, and notes that are peaty, salty, milk chocolate-y, and bitter like over steeped black tea. The finish is dry and tangy with peat.
