Smooth on the nose. Hints of caramel and spices. A very pungent after taste that is unexpected and quite licorice tasting. Many other Irish whiskeys kick first then settle this is the other way around. I’m not a huge fan especially for $60 (Costco). A readbreast 12 will do much more nicely. 3.8/5 would not suggest in most cases
