Aroma has touch of cinnamon, a touch of pencil eraser. Some nutty notes. Touch of sweetness. Yes, some wine or sherry notes. Actually smell some Madeira notes.
Nutty notes carry to the flavor. Toasted grain, Wheaties notes.
Salty, chocolate, dark bread. Dates. Peppery on the finish. Definite moments of mint or menthol. Sherry notes are present and this is a nice experience as I try to learn and understand how the barrel impacts the flavor. On old favorite with a soft spot in my heart.
