Some whiskies are like big, bad wolves – huffing and puffing, frantically trying to flatten your house. Other whiskies are the quietest zephyrs which, nevertheless, blow you to smithereens.
Nose: Cream, strawberry mousse, peach, Rich Tea biscuits, toasted grain, hay bale
Taste: Sweet mmmmmm arrival, deliciously light, orange and clove, barley sugar, and a hint of rhubarb
Finish: Dry, short to medium, lemon drops
Masterful simplicity and balance.

@1901 I’ll take a solid “whoa” any day
@Cornmuse @Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington in my view it’s top quality but i’d say go in with reasonable expectations. This is not deep and complex like Daniel Day Lewis; more sweet and simple like Keanu Reeves.
I love the “quietest zephyrs” concept. My question with this bottle has always been is it “different enough” to separate itself from the pack but this makes me rethink if being different is all that important so long as the final product brings common things together wonderfully.
Well written! Nice review of an expression that's been on my list for a while now.
