I’m generally unimpressed with tequila as a standalone beverage. Yes, some of the top shelf stuff is interesting, I suppose, but as a class of spirit, I usually relegate it to being drowned in lime juice and ice whilst I try to impress some bikini-clad vixen with some drunken, rambling tale of youthful indiscretion, in hopes that she might not find me too repellant, and offer me the opportunity make her acquaintance in a more personal setting... Anyway, tequila, for me, is a utilitarian spirit, a means to an end. That end, more often than not, being me waking up in woods, naked with a splitting headache, and a confused look on my face. This particular tequila, serves that purpose nicely. It it perfect in margaritas and other beverages of that ilk. And, it’s made with 100% agave, a fact that sets it apart from tequilas of a similar price point. This tequila will continue to perpetuate my foolish misadventures, until the day I decide to grow up.
