Whiskey night 3rd place. As a scotch fan, I was surprised that this fell behind a bourbon and a rye. I seem to prefer sherry finishes when combined with some peat. For whatever reason that combo works well for me, so an unpeated sherried scotch falls a little flat for my liking. Still good, but wasn't the star of the show as I'd expected.

@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington I need to give it another try when it's not following two barrel strength bourbons.
I had a chance to put this back to back with GD 15 and the 12 seemed more malt forward with citrus fruit notes vs the wood and dried fruit of the 15. That said, I’d take GD 12 above most other 12y sherried whiskeys.
@WhiskeyLonghorn I hadn't previously tried this, but wasn't blown away.
This one, and I hate to say this, has taken a dip in quality the last five years. The fifteen is still quite good, and the 18 and 21 are marvelous (and expensive...)
