I don’t know anyone who drinks this by itself. I regard it more as an ingredient for cooking, like vanilla extract. It is very orange, with a deep, robust flavor, a candy-like sweetness, and a viscous consistency. Served neat, it puts me in mind of cough syrup. It would probably be better on the rocks, and better still with a bit of club soda. Personally, I think it is best served as an ingredient in the orange sauce with Crepe Suzette.
