Nose: bread, some sweetness
Palate: sweet start, then spice, leather
Finish: long Kentucky hug
I’m not sure I like Rye Whiskey. I think I’m more of a bourbon girl.

I got this flat, disappointing profile with Woodford Rye. If you can take some heat a $20 bottle of Rittenhouse bottled in bond, $30 Russel’s rye or $50 Pikeville could be game changers. At $65 a Russel’s single barrel rye or Willett 4y rye are among the best rye I’ve had. Angels envy rum finish at $90 was a giant letdown though so be careful what you pay for finished rye if you’re not sold on the rye backbone.
Sazerac is a great barley legal rye for bourbon drinkers. Affordable too
@Jessica-Monday-Martin try a finished rye maybe? Like a sweeter one, something finished in port ?
