A quality like this for 30 bucks? That’s unbelievable. The usual Islay flavor profile is there. Smoke, brine and the sweet malty honey. At 46% it feels very drinkable. My friends and I drank the whole bottle within less than an hour. No age statement and hard to say where they sourced the whisky from other than its from Islay. Probably the best budget whiskey I’ve ever had.

@beastow316 @PBMichiganWolverine Yep, my money is on either Caol Ila or Bunnahabhain (or maybe even Laphroaig). Hunter Laing have had bottling contracts with all three for a long time but never once in their history have they bottled anything from Lagavulin. The idea that they would suddenly land an ongoing contract for reasonably priced young sherried Lagavulin is a bit far-fetched.
@PBMichiganWolverine haha oh mang! One thing I’m glad about living in the west coast is tolls. @cascode yea I think it’s most likely Caol Ila. Regardless it is very good.
For $30, I don’t even think I can drive from NJ here to across state lines into NYC. @cascode I can’t see Lagavulin priced like this. Maybe a Bunna or Caol Ila
Rumours abound that this is Lagavulin but I find that hard to believe.
