The nose of the whiskey features scents of honey and cherry wood. The honey transitions to vanilla towards the end, and it finishes with the barest scent of lemon.
On the tongue, the drink features cereal grains with an undertone of brine throughout. The body of the taste is sweet with the vanilla of the white oak casks coming to the fore. The finish is contains baking spice and a final bit of brine.
A refreshing dram with a sweet start and a light brine in that carries through the drink. Excellent neat.
