Overlooked and under appreciated malt. I don’t get the peat or smoke but I do get some savoury or sweet BBQ notes. By the color alone you wouldn’t think this has spent any time in a sherry cask. The sherry is beautiful, bright and fresh but not strong enough to overpower that single malt. Finish is long, dry and little sour.
