Heavy oak on the nose for obvious reasons along with a hint of strawberry, green apple and vanilla.
The green apple and vanilla come through on the palate as well, a little oily...
A gentle spice on the finish but not overpowering, a very syrupy sweet and rich finish sticks around after and is a nice after flavor.
I'd be very curious how much time it spends in each barrel and how long it is aged overall, neither of which is described in the bottle. Found out 4 years in one barrell via Google.
I think the 82 rating given by distiller is brutal especially considering the value in a $22 bottle!
