I was really impressed with the Sherry Oak Cask. It maintains the traditional Macallan flavour that is so distinct, but gives it that sweetness that the original Macallan 12 lacks. The flavour profile on the palate is creamy and smooth, hints of sweetness like orange and honey and some oak wood notes as well. Smooth finish, not rough at all. Very easy to drink and enjoy! The nose is very similar to the palate, you really notice that sherry sweetness on the nose right off the bat, that profile really comes through more than anything. Almost no wood notes on the nose.
