Nose: Mexican chocolate, coffee grounds, vegetable oil, apples and a hint of herbs.
Palate: Semi-sweet, rounded, somewhat viscous, chocolate and coffee notes, none of the usual rye herbal notes.
Finish: Medium length, chocolate and coffee notes and a strange vegetal note, maybe like the water from steamed broccoli?, idk, it’s a bit strange and not sure if I like it or not.
This is unlike any other rye I have tasted. It’s unique, complex, weird, compelling.

@Ctrexman i actually had a pour of this to my mole negre.
I just googled mexican chocolate pics while drinking this and well ...you know the rest
@Ctrexman good to know
It is so different (complex) from most ryes it will morph a bit but if you have a whole bottle instead of a sample it will level out to an easy thumbs up rye
Yes - nailed it! I really liked it, then I couldn't hardly stand the smell of it, now I'm somewhere in between.
